Preparing for Our Annual Charity Tournament

We’re just a few weeks away from our annual charity tournament at Creekside Golf Club. It’s always a challenge to coordinate everything, but seeing everyone come together for a great cause makes it worth it. I’m curious if anyone has tips on managing player check-in effectively, as we usually struggle with that part.

It might help to have a dedicated check-in area with clear signage and friendly volunteers. Last year, we set up an early check-in option the day before the tournament, which helped a lot. Also, using a simple QR code system for registration made the process much smoother.

Having a dedicated check-in area really eases the flow. When we did a pre-tournament registration last year, it saved so much time on the day. Also, having volunteers with clear roles helps keep it organized; maybe even consider a quick briefing ahead of the event to ensure everyone’s on the same page. @g_brooks58 had some great ideas on this too.

And i remember setting up a quick morning coffee station near the check-in desk, which helped draw people in and kept the atmosphere upbeat… It’s amazing how just a little added hospitality can ease some of the tension. Plus, don’t forget to use some apps for quick check-ins — those can save a ton of time.
