Caring for our greens in the fall

But as the weather cools down, I’m reminded of the importance of fall maintenance for healthy greens. Aerating and overseeding can make a world of difference come spring. How are you all preparing your courses for the winter months?

Totally agree — fall maintenance is crucial! We’ve been using our aerator regularly, and it’s amazing how it helps with that spring recovery. How’s your overseeding plan looking?

I’ve found that topdressing with a thin layer of compost after overseeding really helps with moisture retention as the temps drop. Just be mindful not to overdo it; you want to keep the seed in contact with the soil. Have you had success with specific seed blends for your overseeding?
